Pedro Friedeberg is a celebrated Mexican-born artist and designer known for his surreal, ornate works, most famously the Hand Chair, and for blending fine art with functional objects. His visionary, whimsical aesthetic informs La Valise’s architecture and interiors, where Friedeberg’s pieces and motifs punctuate courtyards and suites, introducing sculptural focal points, intricate craftsmanship and playful surrealism.
