Check in time is after 3:00 pm and check out time is 12:00 pm. 

If your flight arrives very early in the morning or if your flight departs late at night, we can offer you a 50% off rate on the morning you arrive (check-in) or on the night you have your check out - (based upon availability).


ELECTRIC ADAPTOR

The electricity supply here is 115V 60Hz, the same as the US and Canada with the same wall plug type.


COMMUNICATION

We recommend calling your cell phone carrier and getting an international plan prior to your arrival,  or be sure to turn off cellular & data roaming and push notifications to avoid charges. We suggest using WhatsApp, it’s a great way to communicate as there is wifi in most places but not cell service.


ACCESSIBILITY

For structural reasons we don’t have elevators inside the hotel.


TRANSPORTATION

La Valise San Miguel is located at Jesús 17, Zona Centro, 37700 San Miguel de Allende, Gto, one hour away from Guanajuato Capital and 30 minutes from the City of Dolores Hidalgo. The three closest airports are Queretaro, Bajio and Mexico City respectively 1h20, 1h40 and 3h30 minutes away from the hotel. We recommend our guests arrive at the hotel using our luxury SUV transportation partner to start enjoying your stay at La Valise from the moment you leave the airport.


CASH / CREDIT CARDS

At the hotel we accept all major credit cards. We do not accept checks. We are a cash-free hotel. It will not be possible to pay in cash at check-out. The approved payment methods will be credit or debit cards and/or charge to your hotel room balance. Accepted credit cards include: Visa, Mastercard and American Express.

All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars and do not include 19% hospitality taxes.

CHECK-IN

We do require presentation of a valid government-issued identification at the time of check-in that will be scanned for our records.


SECURITY

Only authorized people have access to the hotel. To ensure total security for our guests we maintain the entrance door closed at all time, and our staff stays 24/7 at the hotel for your service.


CHILDREN AND PETS

We love kids, but unfortunately due to our small size and intimate atmosphere, we only allow children ages 12 and older in the hotel. We also love pets, but they too must stay at home.


SMOKING

We do not allow smoking on hotel premises, however, we do have a designated smoking area in front of the hotel.


SPA

La Valise San Miguel does not have a spa, however we can offer you in room massages services upon request.


BOOKING & DEPOSIT FEE

All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars and do not include 20% hospitality taxes.

Depending on the selected rate during the booking process, a deposit fee will be collected according to the conditions indicated in their policies.

By completing this booking request, you certify that you are the cardholder and authorize us to charge your credit card automatically with the amount due at that time. All non-refundable rates will be collected in full upon booking. In case of having problems to make this balance in your credit card we will contact you by email to request updated information of your payment method.

You understand that any non-refundable rates and special reservations mentioned in the hotel cancellation policy are charged in full on the date reservation is made and can’t be modified or cancelled.

A pre-authorization amount of $50 USD per night will be held on your credit card upon check in as a guarantee for any incidentals during your stay, it will be released within 5 hours after check out.


CANCELLATION

We are a small, privately-owned referral driven hotel and have a strict cancellation policy due to this:

  • Depending on the selected rate during the booking process, a penalty fee will apply according to the conditions indicated in their policies.

  • All cancellations must be done via email to sma.reservations@lavalise.com. We do not accept cancellation requests by phone.

  • In case of early departure or no show, the total amount of your stay will be charged and there will be no refund or credit offered.

  • In case you make any changes to your reservation after the cancellation period or shorten your stay, we will charge the number of nights originally booked.

Please consider the following:

  • We do not accept changes or cancellation requests by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or any other method that is not via email to sma.reservations@lavalise.com.

  • In case of early departure, the total amount of your stay will be charged and there will be no refund or credit offered.

  • In case you make any changes to your reservation after the cancellation period or shorten your stay, we will charge the number of nights originally booked.

  • If you book at a certain rate and during the time span between your reservation date and your arrival date the price changes, both parties will respect the rate of the original reservation.

  • We are not responsible or liable for changes or cancellations made that relate to or arise as a result of fire, epidemics or health risks, technical problems with transport as well as flight delays due to weather or for mechanical reasons, closed or congested airports or ports or any unforeseeable or unavoidable events beyond hotel control. We highly recommend to purchase a travel insurance for any inconvenience or emergency that could prevent visiting us as planned.

  • If you booked on a website other than the hotel’s and need to make a change to your reservation please go through the booking agent/website that you made the initial reservation with to request changes.

  • A credit card fee of 10% will be retained from any refund. For refunds through bank transfers will be 5% of credit card merchant fee + $50 USD as bank charges.

The only valid booking sources are the links provided in our active website www.lavalisesma.com/ and our official OTA profiles (please verify first with our Reservations Department at sma.reservations@lavalise.com). Any other booking source is invalid and the hotel will keep the right to refuse any reservation coming from these sites. Also the hotel will not be responsible for any damage caused by a booking created in these unauthorized sources.
